  well, I suppose we are looking at some physical representation of death, in the landscape. What struck me about this place - was that it is a bleak, upland, limestone environment. There is rock and rubble around the chiselled grave-stones - and even the grass appears dead. How dead can you get ? Mark.

  This is a very dry, and dessicated place ; (an island that is simply a big block of limestone). It is not a typical English scene.Mark.
