Summer on the Susquehanna - No. 1
A family fishes together, on a summery mid-June afternoon, on the south bank
of the Susquehanna River at Havre de Grace in northern Maryland.
Here, the river is quite broad and is about to join the headwaters of the Chesapeake Bay.
The impressive railroad bridge, built by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1906 is 4,154 feet long.
It carries Amtrak's high speed Northeast Corridor between Havre de Grace and Perryville, Maryland.
