Surfing The Green

The weather back here in western Europe hasn't been great...lots of wind, cold...not the best times for macro photography. So on the first summer day that an almost windstill morning was predicted, I was out before sunrise to go and look for insects that were drying up in the field. This large skipper was immobile with big dew drops and let me position my tripod and camera accurately for a frontal pose. The haze is because of shooting through grass.
