Alan, this colliery has also an English made winding engine, from Birminghan. It was driven by an asynchronous English Electric engine. Although the machine house is abandoned as well, the components are still there, they did not scrap them or they have not been stolen. Now the city council wants to use this site as a touristic atraction, together with the old rail path. It is a nice place.
Hi Ruben
In the area below the title, there should be a box (next to the one labelled fotomail) which allows you to edit the details of the picture - all the details except the actual picture can be changed.
Once again a fantastic picture. I don't know any other areas of Europe where the background for mining activities is so dramatic.
Regards
Alan

I am sorry there is a typing mistake on the title. It should say "Northern Spain".
