The Fungi World (156) : Conifer Mazegill
Conifer Mazegill is a stem-less fungus that likes to grow on coniferous trees causing always an intensive brown rot which rapidly destroys the infected wood.
Can be found all year long, even in winter, as I did.
Dutch name : Geelbruine Plaatjeshoutzwam
German name : Zaunblättling
Latin name : Gloeophyllum sepiarium

I like the composition of this pic, it's great how you show this fungus growing in the wood. Excellent sharpness and lighting, as always, and the vignette is very appropriate.Best regards, Massimo

A beautiful fungus with its dark "interior" and colourful circles and golden edge, great the contrast of the "grey" treetrunk. A very fine sharp capture!!!wish you a good weekend,
Adele
