Greater Stitchwort is a beautiful and pretty flower appearing in woodland in springtime.

Its name originates from its ancient herbal use of alleviating a "stitch" in the side.

Die Große Sternmiere ist ein sehr dekoratives Blümchen. Es kommt erst im Makro so richtig zur Geltung.

they look so pretty and pristine in a very modest way! and they pop up everywhere these days, and, same procedure as every year, i never remember their name – now i know! ; ) a very beautiful close capture of those harbingers of summer. late may and june – month of the oxeye daisies on the meadow behind our house! –, the month of the white petalled beauties, or so it seems… greetings, sabine. p.s.. the softness of the colors and the shallow depth – very appealing!
