The Living Forest (376) : Green Shield Bug
The green shield bug is an insect living in a wide range of habitats across Europe.
Like many so-called "stink bugs", it may release unpleasant odours when disturbed.
In november, it darkens in colour and spends the winter hibernating with a dark-bronze colouration.
As you can see in my picture, the green shield bug is a master in camouflage.
Dutch name : Groene stinkwants
German name : Grüne Stinkwanze
Latin name : Palomena prasina
