The Middle Ages (18) : the Death

This series is an attempt to illustrate how life was going on in the Middle Ages.

The shot shows the way medieval people thought how the death was wandering through fields, forests and swamps, always there to take someone away…….

Photographed at medieval festival of castle Franchimont (Belgium).

I'm kinda glad death doesn't look like this! I'd be very scared of it :-))

Your excellent capture really gives the feeling of something dark, unknown, a bit scary. Well done with all the darkness around this actor.
    greetings, Adele

the hooded "facelessness" of the figure makes it particularly scary! that piece of cloth in the nonexistent "face" reminds me of the beak of a raven or a vulture, and the treetrunks in the back look straight and steely – as though death, "the great reaper", has brought his scythe! very dramatic and effective! greetings, sabine.

Die Faszination und Angst, die der Tod erregt, kommen in Deiner Aufnahme hervorragend zur Wirkung. Die dunklen Farben und die Düsternis schaffen eine dichte, sehr passende Atmosphäre.
    Toll gemacht!
    Gruß Tina
