@ robertyour are so right - i couldn't agree more!
that's why we support www.africat.org, www.cheetah.org, in order to let them do what ever neccesary to save these magnificent creatures and - even more important - to educate the farmers and the kids in view to sustainability of nature in every way - not just moneywise!
@ john
all the guys are right - also you john
i am not afraid of cheetahs at all. even when we encountered a pair (brothers) in namibia during a safari on foot. just respect them and give em way.
BUT i wouldn't bet it works with lepards or lion ;-))))cheetahs are simply adoreable animals
have a great weekend - all of you guys!

If you take a good look at this young cat Irma and you may not read the same story as I do.This cat is in a total relaxed position and is aware that you are there.
This animal shows no fear and is at one with you!!!
That is one of the most important factors in photographing nature. To show no fear and trust.
A sense that all creatures great and small have, a trust between humans and themselves.
Wonderful!!! Bless you. Outback John.

Great work! The cheetah's a famed speedster - known even to people in my part of the world. So many truly magnificent creatures have disappeared before the 'top' of the food chain - man - clued in...With dedication and honourable focus we can do something positive.
Danke Irma (und Kai)!

@ jutta and estherthank you so much for your kind statements!
cheetah is our favourite of the big cats - and they are on the edge of extinction. so we have to do something...
in order save this gracious creature for the next generations!
