U-Scape No.2 - Benny-Bear

Dare you not to smile ;-)

I, for one, could use a happy motif with some bright primary colors about now. Perhaps you, too?

This is the colorful critter that sits in front of the original Ben's Chili Bowl along Washington's U St NW corridor.

And kudos to this fine establishment and Washington institution for the efforts of its staff in preparing
and donating meals to frontline workers such as hospital staff, firefighters and emergency medical services.

The photo was taken back in January as I explored this vibrant stretch of U St NW. (*) It was also my first shooting
with a "new" old film-era lens, the Helios 58mm f/2 (44M-6). The clouds parted just in time to allow the vivid colors
to blossom. I liked the results this compact, yet tank-like Russian-built optic gave with my Canon 40D, providing the (35mm) equivalent of a 93mm telephoto's perspective.

So, guess I can't call it a teddy bear, owing to its size and not
being exactly "huggable," but perhaps "Benny-Bear" works?
