Frank the answer is simple, you are taking the photograph, so you create the result you wish to have!!!Shadow is a natural phenomena, where ever there is a light source.

I created the shadow via postprocessing.
There was just a soft shadow and I liked it more this way :)
Dirk, I agree, most of the posings seem not to be natural . For my approach of understanding photography, it doesn´t have to look natural. I or better sb. elso likes the result ... this is my aim :)

yeah ... paul's right .. to me that dark spot is very disturbing and gives the face a strange shapethe pose seems to be a little unnatural ...
