Wat Bang Pha in Nonthaburi
Wat Bang Phai, a royal temple (Phra Aram Luang) in Nonthaburi, strives for peace and serenity, in an area near Klongs that were once overrun with bamboo.
The monastery celebrated its 250th anniversary in 2016 and has been renovated several times in recent decades.
Viewed from the outside, the Viharn and the historic Ubosot (Ordination hall) are the two oldest buildings next to each other.
One of them houses a Sukhothai-style Buddha, a replica of which is installed under the entrance hall.
