Well It Is Time To Hit The Road Again!! Story Within.

Known in Africa , as the Baobab tree, meaning upside down tree and in Australia as a boab tree.
The seed contain white substance that was used in producing cream soda drinks, it is also used by Africans and Aboriginals
for stomach problems.
Carbon-dating experiments in Africa have dated these trees at over 3000 years and In Australia 800 years old.
If anyone wishes more information on these trees, here is a link to those in Africa and the ones in Australia.
The seed are believed to have floated from Africa or Madagascar

Hello All My Friends!!!
I hope that you have all had a wonderful time over the festive season?
To be honest, mine was boring and lonely.
I promised myself, that I won't do it again!!
Have had good news though, the folks who's house I am minding are returning a week earlier.
My other good news, I have received an invitation to Rangoon Burma, I have dreamt of this
visit for many years.
So my plans have been altered once more,My plans are as follows;-
I am flying to Perth for approximately 7 days on about the 15th of this month.
Next to Bangkok and directly on to Chiang-Mai, where I will photograph the
Royal Thai Flower Show for about a week.
Straight back to Bangkok and off to Burma, where I shall meet an FC member.
How long, I am not sure.
Then back to Bangkok and on to Surat Thani to meet a German member of FC.
Next to Hua-Hin, to meet another German member of FC.
Back to that boring Bangkok and on to Udon Thai for some rest and catch up
with a group of Aussie mates, one from Karratha too.
By then my visa will have to be renewed, so I will cross the border into Laos for a week or or so, then get my visa stamp on my return in.
Next I may travel into Cambodia to meet another German FC member.
Some itinerary, is it not??
Next I shall return to Australia, I will then plan a trip for a friend and I to travel
around Australia for twelve months, away from the madding crowds living in reality.
We will live in a tent in the outback, camping grounds, do some house minding and occasionally
book into a hotel.
I shall teach my companion, bush survival, fishing hunting and to collect and eat bush tucker.
How to bake bread and do roasts in termite mounds, also all the wonderful and enjoyable things
one can carry out in amongst nature.
It will be heaps of fun!!
My best wishes to one and all of you!!

Outback John.

Back from Antartica .. I was just wondering where you were, if in Myanmar : it's still more impossible than in the frozen continent to find an e-mail, for very different reasons.. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay there, it's a charmful, wonderful place with so lovely people. See you ! VS

Hi, John! Have fun! Check out my boabab (116/1920). If you mix the seeds within the pod with condensed milk, you get a fantastic sweet&sour fizzy pulp - wonderful! Photo taken in South Africa. Cheers.

For me it is a strange tree, John. But a beauty !!
Is there a reason that this one doesn`t have leaves, while the other does ??
    Bon voyage, my friend !!

Hi John, a stunning picture; I like these boabs a lot! But the beauty of this foto quickly fades away compared to your "story inside" !!! Wow! What an exciting itinerary! Hope you'll manage it all well, and I wish you a lot of fun on all these trips! Looks like this is exactly what you really like to do...! ;-)))
    Best wishes Wolfgang

    Hi John,
The tree looks very interesting just like the story of it you wrote under the photo.
