Wild Herd of Buffalo......

.....there were about 50 or so that we could see on a high meadow on a South Dakota Indian Reservation just south of the "Bad Lands", I believe they are managed by the local native american tribes, but for the most part they roam free range and are used by the native Americans that choose to live like their ancestors in this area.....

Thanks for taking a look......

A lot of meat on four feet-but I prefer to have them alive.
Anyway a beautiful fine picture. You really had a great chance.Greetings Gary

no need to eat them, therefore they can grow old in the reservation

This is a good one of this buffalo. Amazing that just a couple hundred years ago there were 10s of millions of these in America. Today we are impressed by a herd of 50 or so.

very impressive this animal in the foreground with
his coat shedding and his massive head..... to
see them in the wild must be an awesome
experience albeit intimidating ... a wonderful
