Maxell, you are absolutely right. I was doing head shots and this was a throw-away image, I was testing/adjusting the main light. I think she had just finished sneezing and I was shooting away (my wife has a lot of patience). I did all the adjustments in Adobe Lightroom. Black & white conversion can give a photo a whole new quality and it can, in special cases, turn poor lighting into a masterpiece so I look at all photos in color and in black & white. When I converted this one to black & white it just jumped off the screen. It looks like she might be standing, but she's actually sitting and unfortunately none of the shots has her hands in it, I don't think I even had the focus point on her eye or face. I think I will have to duplicate it.
Hi Keith , My first impression is wow. But there are a view points to consider. The sharpness on the face is to little to my taste en i miss the hands. But i see clearly a special (nice) picture which can be improved!
Hello,
if you don't mind I would like to ask you a question. I've learnd, that it is better to give room in the direction the poeple are looking, Why didn't you do it in that way.
Please excuse my bad english.
Best regards
Norbert

Norbert, I cropped it both ways and this just looked better to me. It looked more as if she were actually looking at something besides the light.C1000D-Norbert 17/08/2010 19:28
