Yellow Figwort

Yellow Figwort grows mostly in European mountain areas.
In Belgium it’s an exceptional rare appearance, so I was lucky to find one.

Its greenish yellow flowers are not really spectacular but they contain an abundancy of nectar which is of great importance for early spring foraging insects.

Dutch name : Voorjaarshelmkruid
German name : Frühlings-Braunwurz
Latin name : Scrophularia vernalis

Die Strukturen sauber herausgearbeitet und das Licht ist wieder mal bezaubernd.Rechts ist mir ein wenig zu viel dunkler Bereich.
    Gefällt mir aber trotzdem.
    LG Fred

quite a sturdy and resilient looking plant! i've never seen it before, i think! and the way it's catching the sunlight with its already sunny yellow blossom – very beautiful! lg, sabine.

I can imagine the rough texture of the leaves and the soft little yellow blossoms - very nice capture in fine light, and so sharp!
    greetings, Adele

I think lots of plants look more attracive through the lens of your camera, Mark, than they really are in their natural habitat:) This one is very nice but I don't think I would notice it at all if I accidentally came across it:)
    Excellent colours and sharpness, Viola
