Dorji, a young monk from Bhutan gets bless by an high buddhist abbot inside the holy area of the Phra Pathom Chedi in Nakhon Pathom.

Dorji is the nephew of our friend Yeshee from Bhutan, who she is visiting us regularly in Thailand.
In Bhutan, it is a rule that one of the male members of the family completes his life as a monk.
In Bhutan, becoming a monk means a decision for his entire life. One reason why some of the affected boys spend their monastic life in Thailand, where they must only be monks for a specific period of time, several weeks or months.
