So you used to make fireplaces? How wonderful! This is the fireplace in my house and being a color nut, I have walls of different colors throughout the house. What like about having colored walls is watching the hue/value shift with the time of day. This was taken late afternoon with light coming from a west facing window. Where do you live?
dear Andy, i tried to convert it in BW, but as u said....it was not the same atmosphere, so I decided not to touch it....not PS applied here....in any way!

Thanks for your suggestion Andy. I am still learning the difference between what the eye sees and what the camera captures. I am not really thinking when I shoot. Most often it is just the impression I have of a place or thing. I definitely agree with your statement on HDR.
