Thanks Alex ... it's strange isn't it, but now and again when we press the shutter button we just 'know' it is going to be a good shot.
Wishing you many of those moments.
All the best
Andy
merci beaucoup pour la visite et les commentaires!! en effet je suis une passionnée de voyages!!! et je connais bien la Grèce qui est un pays absolument magnifique!!!!! amitiés catherine
Thank you very much for your follow-up Alexander, and kind assessment of my photographs. Digital editing has opened for me as neophyte the black and white photographic expression in which I try to use the zonar exposure defined by Ansel Adams.
But I long for color photography Velvia 50 and100.
Was watching fakirs more than half of hour, went around them. Found that the right hand of man sitting at the bottom is an artificial. It's attached to a pole with a seat for sitting at the top:-) Clever boys!
Thanks for good comments Alexander!
Best regards and nice weekend:-)

Dear Alex, looks like you may be an opera lover as well. My photo was taken in the lobby of our new Opera House just before the performance of 'Les Dialogues' with absolutely no idea of what it ended up later. The performance was marvellous, wonderfully directed, sung and conducted. BTW the new Toronto opera house impressed Valery Gergiev so much that the architect was immediately recommended to Putin
to build the new opera theatre in St Petersburg. The building is already under construction costing some
$ 800 million, many times over the budget because of all the corruption. The Toronto opera house cost only $ 80 million. Cheers, Janos
Oh dear Alex..... many thanks for your wonderful comment and your literary associations. I am sure the English can be confusing, but "Darkness at Noon" was written by my countryman and wonderful author, the late Arthur Koestler. If you haven't read it, please read it. You may be thinking of "The Heart of Darkness" by Joseph Conrad that I haven't read. :) Best regards again, Janos
