Thank you for your comment. Yes i take the photo with the Canon EF 300 / 4 L IS USM with the 1.4 TK . Hope the details help. I've done in my garden and could begin to approach up to about 3 meters from the bird.

in german there is a saying if the clouds turn reddish at night time, that the weather will be good the next day ;--) So far its always true. smile+thanks Sonja
The picture was taken at Salford Quays, which is an old industrial area just outside of Manchester. Alot of money has gone into regenerating it over the past few years.
