Cyclamen

On the spots where snow and ice are gone, the first harbingers of early spring can be found in nature, like these Cyclamen.

Cyclamen produces dainty blooms from late winter to early spring and withstand the most severe frost problem-free.

This species is native to the mountains of Bulgaria, Turkey & Lebanon and the areas around the Black and Caspian Sea.

Dutch name : Wintercyclaam (ook Alpenviooltje genaamd)
German name : (Vorfrühlings)alpenveilchen
Latin name : Cyclamen coum forma pallidum

In the picture below you can see the more common dark pink cyclamen.

Where they emerge in early spring the brightness of their flower against the rest of the garden is usually very stunning, just as in your photo. Good work!

so many of those early bloomers seem to be wearing white to readily appease the still lingering winter and present themselves as part of jack frost's entourage: "i'm one of yours, sir! don't hurt me!!" ; ) beautifully captured in this bright light! greetings, sabine.
