The Fungi world (48) : Shaggy scalycap

Shaggy scalycap grows usually at the base of old trees, but always in clusters.
This fungus smells and tastes like a radish and, although not deadly, it is considered mildly toxic.

Dutch name : Schubbige bundelzwam
German name : Sparriger Schüppling
Latin name : Pholiota squarrosa

what great variety the fungi world provides us with!! i've never seen this kind before! the texture of their little heads looks amazing! beautiful low point of view, too, – feels as though we are creeping around on the forest floor, exploring, discovering, and venturing deeper and deeper into the forest… greetings, sabine.
