The Living Forest (97) : Red Fox

I think everybody knows very well this striking animal. It’s a solitary hunter and can reach speeds of approximately 72 km/h with its strong legs
As from autumn, the Red Fox will grow more fur to keep him warm in the frosty winter season.

Location : shot was taken out of a shelter in the ‘Hertogenwald’ at Heisterberg (Belgium) just before sunset. As this animal is most active at twilight and at night, it’s not easy to capture. It took me years, but finally got one.
