Hi Jenipher,

this is a perfectly successful portrait photo in my opinion. All details of the bird are sharp and very clear. What I also still like is the depth of field and the background. The bird and the background: both just fits together.

they are getting tamer by the year! soon they'll be ringing the doorbell, jovially – in their characteristic cackle resembling laughter, that is ; ) – asking for peanuts… great capture here! love the seemingly contemplative tilt of the head – there maybe a philosopher hidden inside of him. birds, i am told, have huge forebrains, allowing for great cognitive abilities, so maybe this one here is pondering the sky, asking himself just why it was created in his own image – colorwise, that is? ; )) greetings, sabine.
