A rear to endear --- Dahlia sp. (pompon-hybrid )

Pompon-Dahlie gefunden im Herbst in der Nähe von Hattingen (NRW). Dies ist das zweite Foto der Dahlien aus unserem Garten. Solche Dahlien sind, offensichtlich, gezüchtet und gehen auf die Kreuzung zweier Arten: Dahlia coccinea und Dahlia pinnata zurück. Die menschengemachte Diversität ist erstaunlich groß und liegt inzwischen bei über 50tsd verschiedenen Sorten. Da ich mich aber nur mit Wildpflanzen beschäftige hört mein Wissen hier auf.

Pompom-dahlia found near Hattingen (NRW) in fall. This is the second picture of the dahlia plants from our garden. Such Dahlia are, obviously, man-made by crossing the two species: Dahlia coccinea and Dahlia pinnata. The diversity of different cultivars exceeds the 50 tsp registrations. Yet, due to my lack of my knowledge in cultivated plants, I can not really say so much more about these plants.
