Found a spot on a picnic table that offered a good view, placed the camera on the edge of the table and used it as my tripod and turned the shutter speed way down.

Using that table as your tripod would mean that you were less conspicuous as a photographer :))))) and what a very good picture you got with the bg beautifully sharp whist you captured movement of closer subjects.Very well taken.
