Back Alley Chef

Walking in one of the many Asian Chinatowns. The aroma of affordable found on only local menus for the inhabitants was like experiencing a Native American Holy Smudging, but for your sent reciprocals. There is no running water here, so plate and chopsticks get the recycle water, and in some cases extra ingredient for the soup. You can often tell what area you are in by the scent.
Often everyone one has a day job in addition. Walk these alleys by day and they are barren. traveling gourmet look out, bring your pills and hold up in your hotel room a few days.

One would need an iron stomach to sample all the wonderful tastes in the backstreets of cities. I have tried a few and ended up holed up for a few days. Wonderful image.
    Best Regards,

The risky way of eating, I suppose, especially for foreigner's stomach. Better to shoot than to eat :)))
    Good street scene.

Quite a challenge. Street food from local vendors would be an interesting sampling but buyer beware? I would assume you have tried some interesting foods in your travels, maybe a street vendor food photo essay would be a good project. Could maybe get Saveur or Food and Wine interested in a story line.
Who had the best food in your travels?
