Before the End of Iconic Religion

Imagine the Vatican. People all about waiting to see the Pope. There is a lot of self examination going one. In fact the Vatican is more like a hospital ward waiting to see troubled people if they realize it or not.

What is clear is that there is a great distance between the people and the Religion itself. I could not find the Pope when he spoke, nor could I see him. It was divine guidance that this picture materialized at all.

It was like walking in the remain of what was a giant whale, now only bones holding up the form it was suppose to represent. The importance of man was dwarfed by art.

The crowd fought to keep people from crossing their ranks and file in fear of people might cut up in line going into the Vatican.

Instead of being happy on their date with a woman dressed for an outing they bickered about being a better Catholic than the other person.

The Pope did not even give a service. He just rambled lightly about the world and then said '"Go home and have a good dinner".

You wonder why Evangelism and other radical religions have become the hyena
which now nibbles the body of the Roman church leaving it dysfunctional.

This is a very special place, where the past meets a present, the faith - the big interests, a powerful institution - human misery. So easily here with conflicting feelings.
But I think that everyone can find here all, what wanted to find. Regardless of that, what you said rightly about catholic church condition.

It all depends on what you bring here in yourself :)

    so tiny,supposedly so "powerful"l (I didn't noticed him before)
your vision and your words your words sum up the situation
in Rome I visited the Vatican and the museum but I never wanted to attend a Mass given by a pope, the crowd distorts the people or maybe people are distorted themselves and God is only a pretext
