…and the panning makes perfect sense here, as it illustrates the situation of the individual runner so well: the only one in focus is the grave-faced runner in the purple jersey. if he wants to do well and make it through, he'll have to focus completely on himself, concentrate on his pace, his muscles, his planned time, his physical condition etc. –, and block out everyone else. for him, the accomplished long-distance runner, his competitors are nothing but colorful little fishies in his surf! ; ) nevertheless, seen from an outsider's pov – mine! ; ) – they look just terrific in their bright neon colors! greetings, sabine.
