Dad's Little Love
During my time in Naples. I kept looking for classical images. The classics for us all should be just a simple text book home work assignment with a camera in our hands.
It is not as easy as you think. Anyone can go out and shoot and make the shot of the day someplace on the globe. What makes the difference is getting back in touch with your brain as you shoot.
Don't shoot because it makes you happy. That's selfish. No one might never understand. Shoot because you desire to communicate what you see if you like street.
In this image what makes it special for me is that this father truly loves his daughter. You can see this because he's holding her bag, and he's not on the cell phone , and even more, she is not running to keep up. They are basically waking together. In Naples when deals and business is done around the street in doors or out. . For this section of street it is just dad and daughter.
I thought I'd try and honor three photographers that have a track record in shooting street. They are alexander stefanatos mauro tomassetti Carlo.Pollaci .

I like your photo and I like your text Glenn. I find the text about shooting convincing, but I'm not so shure as you, that there is a good attachment between father and daughter, because body signs say something other. Here I see rarely contact between them. I see a sad mood in a way. But a great photo nevertheless. Greetings DieterCarlo.Pollaci 30/09/2013 22:52

Three great photographers for a very interesting pic. I know better Carlo and Mauro and both the two know how much I consider them. They are also special persons. Brave men.
Carlo is a great architect too. And that's visible in all his pics. Mauro has a very original touch. Adriana Lissandrini said of Mauro that he is a "true man". I'm sure she thinks the same of Carlo and that's also my opinion.
Wonderful pic for special persons and dear friends.
Bravo, Simo
