Groucho Marx in Morocco
It was between two points in the desert. Another sand and dust cover town which seems to strangle me. Stop the car I need to get I said, then again until I meant business. The car stops causing a cloud of dust about me. There is nothing here the drive said angrily. "We have all day to arrive at the next destination", I said, and walked off into a market near empty and being taken down. Everyone was happy. Business was good I guess. Different from other markets. A young Muslim boy surrounded by family packing up the remains, wore a Groucho Marx mask. We both stood out like sore thumbs and related to each other. Afterwards we drove off. All I wanted was another red dust town to see and try to understand the meaning of existence in the middle of nowhere.

: )))))))))) welcome to the club! ; )) this is absolutely hilarious, glenn! the jovial expression of the iconic mask a precise "pars pro toto" describing the entire atmosphere of this place in the middle of nowhere: relaxed warm, social. smiles everywhere!! what a find and capture! fate does have a sense of humor sometimes… a mood so different from your other "moroccan images". greetings, sabine.Karl Klanke 01/03/2014 9:04
