Night Trains - No. 2 Susquehanna Moonlight Crossing

Under the light of a full moon, an Amtrak Northeast Corridor service train crosses over the Susquehanna River on the long bridge that carries the high-speed mainline between Havre de Grace and Perryville in northeastern Maryland.

The speeding New York bound train leaves a long light trail in this 30-second exposure.

Also trailing light are some stars as well as airline traffic on this clear November night.

    An absolute fantastic shot...I like the lights, especially in the water.
    Another highlight is ...the lights from the running train leads me over the bridge and so I take a look under the train to this fine bridge-architecture...compliments ! Hut ab !

    Very well done, Steve! The reflected lights in the river are simply fascinating!
    Reminds me of our night shooting above the rhine river valley near Nierstein in 2008!
