Patches
A small windblown lake in my hometown of Brampton, Ontario.
We go there often to observe its incredibly variable moods.
The patches are windblown snow mixed with bare ice.

Ummmmmmmmmm, patches that catches...sounds silly, but they literally grab the eye and lead it around within the interior of this image. There's a fluidity that is still expressed even in it's frozen state. The dark heavy spit of distant land and lacy treetops keeps it earthbound and breaks up the like tones of ice and sky. Color on the right warms it up and the lacy, fringy twigs tickle the senses. Lovely.
