Q-Scape No.1 - Coney Island - Stillwell Avenue
The first in a new series of New York City Subway train photos along the route of the Q Train,
from the Upper East Side of Manhattan to the Brooklyn Atlantic Ocean seashore at Coney Island.
On this December afternoon, a Q train is arriving at the Stillwell Avenue Station, completing its long trip
from 96th Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, down the BMT Broadway Line to cross the Manhattan
Bridge into Brooklyn, where it will cover a large swath of the borough on the Brighton Line, mainly in open cuts on
four-track mainlines. From Brighton, it will run parallel to the beaches along the Atlantic, on elevated structures, before terminating on the upper level of the Stillwell Avenue station. This Q train is operating with R68-type railcars.
After cleaning by transit workers, it will depart in the opposite direction
for the long trip back to E 96th St in the Second Avenue Subway.

Very dramatic perspective and interesting additional detail from the signal lights. The selective colour is also a very effective feature.
