River Terrace, Kennedy Center
This spacious promenade runs the entire length of the Kennedy Center
for the Performing Arts, along the side that overlooks the Potomac River.
It parallels the Grand Foyer, which incorporates the entrances to the Concert Hall,
Opera House, and Eisenhower Theater, the three major performing venues in the building.
On pleasant nights, a welcoming spot for visitors before events or during intermissions,
on this lovely June evening, it is empty as performances are underway inside.
The scene was captured on Rollei Ortho-25 120 film through the 35mm
SMC A f/3.5 lens on a Pentax 645N. The exposure was 20 seconds at f/8.

Ein sehr gutes Archtekturfoto ist das. Die Säulen scheinen endlos. Die kleinen Tische und Stühle vertiefen den Eindruck. Die verdichtete Perspektive rundet das Bild ab.Gisela

Natural growth meets architecture. A fine combination.
