Simon Fraser University is one of two large universities in Vancouver and sits on Burnaby Mountain. It was established in 1965 and has more than 32.000 students on three different campusses. It was designed as one complex by internationally known Vancouver architect Arthur Erickson who died this year.
The statue on the right is of Terry Fox, a 20 year old student who ran 5373 km across Canada with one prosthetic leg to raise money for cancer reseach. He had to give up his run after 143 days and died the following year. He is a hero in our country.

I took these images last Summer during semester holidays.
