Sunrise at Bamburgh
So there I was standing on Bamburgh beach, in almost total darkness, with the waves lapping aginst the side of my wellington boots, just hoping for something spectacular to happen at sunrise.
This was my reward for my patience and of course the loss of a few hours sleep!

Now this is a reward indeed , one of the best stretches of beach anywhere imo.Wonderful reflections in the wet sand and calm north sea waters !
