T Shirts Sale for Teachers Medical Relief Fund

With being on strike for 8 weeks now the school Board stopped paying the premium for the teachers healthcare benefits which ran out about 6 weeks ago.
These young ladies are selling t-shirts and donating the money to help cover any medical payments the teachers might have to make.

    to their MEDICAL FUND??? they got more money than all of us put together !! And don't forget they retire at 55 with indexed pensions (their pension fund owns half of downtown Toronto).....
    Ken, I am confused about your purpose of showing these pictures. Are you a teacher? if yes, then I understand. But if you are not, then whose side are you on? It looks like you are soliciting sympathy for the teachers from the European members who for sure don't have the slightest inkling as to what goes on in the US and Canada. Best, Janos

    A sad state of afairs when young people feel the need to make money for their teachers medical needs. Our NHS may not be perfect.......but at least we have one.
    An excellent docu shot.

    In the days of '68, in Italy, a slogan was "students and teachers joined in the fight."
    Effective solidarity of these students for their teachers.
    Excellent photo documentation.
    best wishes
    Carlo

    great capture of the three selfless graces* ; )! love the somewhat "heroic light" that underlines their idealism beautifully and makes their work for a noble cause stand out and shine even more! ; )) and what a beautiful spring day it must have been! greetings, sabine. p.s.: the strike is still going on? oh, dear! 8 weeks is a long time!! the poor children – and the poor parents that have to keep them busy! – they must be feeling quite bored by now! greetings, sabine.

    bravo

    I must admit I was miserable in the school.. especially high school, (in the Uni it was different
    )
    had an aversion towards teachers.. (but later in life I married a elementary school teacher.. and am VERY happy
    )
