The Fungi world (62) : Turkey Tail
Deep inside the darkness of an old rotten stump, I found these Turkey Tail fungi growing.
This fungus can be found in a wide variety of different colours and plays a great and important role in natural ecosystems as a decomposer of wood.
Recognized worldwide for its medicinal use.
Dutch name : Gewoon Elfenbankje
German name : Schmetterlingstramete
Latin name : Trametes versicolor

Only in English do we have such a strange name for such a beautiful fungus. Excellent how you have emphasized the fungi and the rotting wood of the stump in this image - the light and sharpness are brilliant!!greetings, Adele

Great capture again of the fungi world. I especially like here the vignetting you edited. Concentrates the view directly on the "star" of the picture.andrea
