I think that you were right to leave in the hand etc as it does help the picture. The shadow is excellent and I especially like the light and shade given by the sun hat.:))

I like the shadow of the lady's straw hat, I think it adds a lot to the image. Makes me want to see her and hear her playing in reality. Bw, Viola
