The Traffic Dance

These two traffic cops had their work cut out for them on this drizzly evening on the West Side of
Manhattan, for there was not only the typical rush hour traffic, but huge numbers of pedestrians heading
for and coming from the nearby Javits Convention Center, where ComicCon was in full flamboyant swing.

And while none are seen in this moment, many were so heavily costumed as their favorite superheroes
or monsters that, between limited vision and exuberance, they could easily have missed taking notice of
even the largest truck or bus.

Thus, police whistles and shouted directions were the order of this super-heroic evening rush.
