Transport America - Trains and Trucks
I was a little bored this weekend and didn't really know what to shoot so I went back to work on trains and motion and trying to focus on either words or graffiti.
Panning Technique- Shutter Priority Mode, Shutter speed between 1/15 - 1/30, Continuious Burst. Set the focal point in your view finder to the center, look through the view finder and keep the object you want in focus on the center focal point and swing at the waist timed to keep the object you want in focus as close to the center focal point as possible throughout the swing. A gray overcast day is great to get the slow shutter speeds.
I got a few interesting "Are you crazy" looks (well maybe just a little) from the people stopped at the train crossing.
Used a free Lightroom preset called "Matt's Vintage New York-Dark" for the tones. Available Here - http://lightroomkillertips.com/2007/monday-presets-vintage-new-york-look/
