Viele, vor allem Deutsche, träumen von einem Kanu-Urlaub in Schweden. Die unberührte Landschaft mit vielen Tieren, die einsamen Seen und der halbwegs erschwingliche Preis machen Schweden zum perfekten Ziel für Abenteuer/Outdoor Touristen. Leider habe ich gerade mit diesen Touris oft schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht. Sollte jemand hier genau sowas vorhaben, bitte denkt daran respektvoll mit der Natur und den Einheimischen umzugehen und nichts zu machen, was ihr nicht auch vorm eigenen Nachbarn machen würdet. So, hoffe ich, können wir alle zusammen dieses wunderbare Land genießen.

Everyone who is planning an outdoor/survival trip at least thought about a canoe-camping trip in Sweden, especially Germans. The pristine nature with diverse animals, the lonely lakes and the affordable price lead to the situation of Sweden being a major destination for this kind of people. And there is nothing wrong about that. However, I had lots and lots of bad experience with “canoe tourists”. If you are planning such a holiday, please remember to treat nature and locals with respect and please do nothing you wouldn’t do in front of your own neighbors as well. Then, we can enjoy this beautiful land together.
