Hello Patrick and many thanks for your kind comments on my shots...much appreciated.
I'm sorry I didn't have time to 'do' British Columbia and Alberta in more depth while I was there but alas time was short and what there was was spent with grand children rather than taking photographs.
I'll have to come back sometime and 'do' it properly.
Take care,
David
Hi Uncle Paddy,
To be honest i am not tired of "shooting" people :)
I have had very busy times these last two weeks,
I have had a shoot on location and one in the studio twith models from Elite. :) The photo's will be presented to dutch ELLE & AVANTGARDE to get us assigments for these mags.
Last saturday i had a job shooting at a party for KLM stewards and stewardesses & sunday there was a party from 20:00 till 00:30 called D'estillo with young talented creative artists, designers and photographers - where lud and i had our own mini studio and shot people who had customised clothing (they could make that downstairs, we were upstairs) and after that i had to work at Sundae@Escape from 00:30 - 04:30 to shoot party people...
So actually i am covered in work right now, i did the sundae photo's right after i got home (remove pimples, resize and upload and also the KLM party photo's so together 250 photo's and we still have to work on the shoots we did for ELLE and AVANTGARDE, we did the first 4 series, now we need to do some more. but they look astounding and impacting.
(if i say so myself :) )
So i am not tired of shooting people, my hands itch for more.
Dolly is who is "use" when i have no one to shoot, and to satisfy my hunger to shoot.
Patrick , thank for your concern, and for the advice. Your photos with the 828 are great, but I think that they are great regardless the camera used.
About PS, I haven't made that big step yet (but I will install it soon); I currently make the photo-editing with a common viewer.;).
Best wishes,
Ionut
Thank you for the comment. Yes, due to work and personal commitments, I was unable to spend much time with the photography or on fc. It is nice to be back.
The Shack is a little remnant of a once farmed island (Santa Cruz) off the coast of California. It is one of the Channel Islands. Although mostly uninhabitted now, it has some great camping, hiking, snorkling, and (of course) some nice photography subjects. Otherwise, I do not know much more about the shack itself.
Patrick - thanks so much for the constructive comments left on my Saint or Sinner photo... yes I would loved to have taken this inside a church but I dont think the local vicar would let me! - I had to make do with a converted warehouse... I hope to do more with Jess.. this was her first ever photoshoot.
Thanks for the comment Patrick. The shot was taken on the Nebo Loop scenic drive off a turnoff to the Blackhawk campground on the south side of Utah Vally, Utah. Im so lucky to be a local here :D
Greetings,
Mark
