Golden Girls at Cresta
No, the title doesn’t refer to the eternally popular television series, but rather the golden glow in which the high altitude sunshine on this autumn afternoon painted the two little girls (the one facing the camera is hugging TWO dolls!) at the PostAuto stop at Cresta in the Avers-Juf region of Switzerland’s Canton Graubünden.
I also liked how the rough-hewn surroundings in this high above the tree-line
village seem to be made to look just a bit more “livable” by two happy youngsters.
The public transportation system of Canton Graubünden is so extensive that even remote villages are served by the reliable Postal Bus system. Indeed, this stop is along a route that links the highest year-round settlement in Europe, Juf, with the town of Andeer, far below in the Via Mala (*) region along the Hinterrhein branch of the young Rhine, with many stops at other villages along the steep climb into the rugged Avers-Juf region.

a really rustic scene with this two old wooden buildings at the bus stop ...the modern signs such a contrast ... a lovely moment as the little girls
bring life into the scene - I like this in black and white showing the textures
and light reflections so well !!!
best regards,
